New data on prevalence of GBV in SA to help inform interventions. The “A Call to Prioritise GBV in South Africa” report, reveals statistics on GBV incidents from 53,004 calls (2020-2023), highlighting key trends by location, frequency, and timing.

Founded in 2012 by Mara Glennie, who is passionate about the cause, being a survivor of Gender-Based-Violence (GBV) herself, the TEARS Foundation is well established, reputable, and recognised as a leading force in GBV support, nationally across South Africa.
